final stage of specialisation reflection

in the final stages of my project I had shown it to a teacher who had given me some god feedback. He sad that he liked the score how it was and that that part should be left how it was, but that in the performance of the footsteps, they had felt a bit heavier and harsher than the soft, cautious pace that the protagonist had walked. We spoke about how to soften the footsteps and slowing the attack slightly on them, so I added a slight fade in to each of the noticeably heavier steps and also slightly adjusted volumes and reverbs on the steps to reduce the sense of weight in the steps. Another comment was to slightly ease of the high pitched sounds towards the end as they were slightly piercing although nice with the score to maybe bring them down a bit, so I slightly lowered the volume and also took more high end from the eq of that track. I found that both these adjustments made the final piece much better as the overly heavy footsteps and overly piercing high frequencies can distract from the scene itself, whereas a more natural balance I feel allows for deeper immersement in the scene.
