collaboration post 8 – further reflection updates

We have now progressed to manage to acquire the video file for the game that we have done the sounds for, and have started to arrange the audio files we have alongside the video layering and placing the sounds.

We have still had only limited communication with the group of MA students, however at least we have managed to get the video file that is needed for our hand in.

However it is still difficult for us to know how understand the game fully without having played it or experienced it for ourselves, especially because of how many different environments and areas of the game there are. This has meant we needed to use our imagination in the decision making of choices in terms of sounds for the game. We mainly focused on various foley and atmosphere sounds for the game as we felt that silence in the background is the thing that will take away from the game the most or change the players first person sense of place the most.
