This album ‘Green’ by Hiroshi Yoshimura has been very impactful on me in its simplicity and beauty in the tones and notes used, and the minimalistic yet still interesting and satisfying sounds. Yoshimura was part of the environmental music movement of the 80’s that drew large inspiration from the ambient music pioneered by Brian Eno
This album has impacted my project because of its depth in simplicity and its connection to nature, on the minimalist/ ambient side of the spectrum of taste that I will be exploring on the project, I will take some inspiration from works by Yoshimura & Eno, in crafting powerful and moving music without too much going on, and creating a strong sense of peace and serenity in their music’s.
