Portfolio piece #2

My second portfolio piece was planned to be a short film I would score about subconscious expression through facial expressions, however I am now thinking to just do that idea outside of uni, and instead for my portfolio piece 2, to do an installation piece, based on a project I have been working on about the unfolding rose. The project consists entirely of voice notes that were taken without telling anyone there (they were told after and asked if it was okay to use them). These voice notes were like capturing moments unfolding, real time without people being conscious I was recording, therefore this makes them special to me, and I believe the texture of a voice notes in itself evokes a feeling of memory, and this is something I want to explore in an installation context, with a 4 channel set up of two stereo audio pieces playing, with various musical moments and various non musical moments playing in diagonal opposition so that the listener is in the middle surrounded by audio memory.

my choice to change was evoked by realising that my short film would be graded through a sound arts lense and framework and I didnt want to limit the piece or even need to consider marking criteria in its creation, however I feel this voice note idea could work better for this context.
