For the WIP show at LCC, I installed a stereo version of my unfolding rose album, on loop, with screenshots of the voice notes used in the album, circled around the headphones that the album is playing through. This was like a middle piece between the two portfolio pieces (the album and the installation). it took some figuring out how best to arrange the screenshots, as to best communicate the idea of the endless loop of voice notes, and the sense of being in the middle of various timelines, various moments and memories.
As the pictures show, there were a couple configurations tried out before landing on the final one in the last picture, which is by far my favourite. I feel it best conveys the ideas behind the piece, while not taking away from the sonic priority of it.
I look forward to trying the quadrophonic version of the idea that I wrote of in previous blog posts.
